Girls Lyrics

1]
I've seen girls younger than me
Doing things that I've never done
See these girls and think [?]
Full of [?]And I'm slow-mo for a while
And I was sure enough for a whileFurther from my wilder years
I get kinder to the younger girlsI've seen girls younger than me
So sure of what they want
And it gets harder focusing on
What I wanna focus on
And I'm slow-mo for a while
And I was sure enough for a whileFurther from my wilder years
I get kinder to the younger girlsFurther from my wilder years
I get kinder to
Further from my wilder years
I get kinder to the younger girlsI've seen girls
I've seen girls
I've seen girls

Girls is the first single from Widowspeak upcoming album, All Yours.About the track, Molly said:"Girls" was first a voice memo I'd recorded on my phone. It pretty much stayed the same in terms of lyrics and melody, although we added instruments and everything later on when we were recording. That's why it's kind of simple; I was just singing what I was thinking at the time.

Widowspeak is a Brooklyn, New York, United States-based quartet that play hazy atmospheric dream pop and shoegaze, formed in 2010. There are aspects of the band's sound - abrasive guitar hooks, immediate drumming, and incessant codas - that speak to living in a big city. But there's also a dreary sparseness, a David Lynch-esque darkness, culled from the other members' native Washington. The band's skeletal sound began to take shape, with Robert's rust-belt guitar parts lending a restless, sinister edge to Molly's subdued melodies and soft vocal style.
