Give a Man a Home Lyrics

Have you ever lost your way?
Have you ever feared another day?
Have you ever misplaced your own mind?
Watchin' this world leavin' you behindWon't you?
Won't you give?
Won't you give a man?
Give a man a homeHave you ever worn thin?
Have you ever never known where to begin?
Have you ever lost your belief?
Watchin' your faith turn to griefWon't you?
Won't you give?
Won't you give a man?
Give a man a homeWon't you?
Won't you give?
Won't you give a man?
Give a man a homeIn a world that is unwhole
You have got to fight just to keep your soul
Some would rather give than receive

Some would rather give up before they believeWon't you?
Won't you give?
Won't you give a man?
Give a man a homeWon't you?
Won't you give?
Won't you give a man?
Give a man a homeWon't you?
Won't you give?
Won't you give a man?
Give a man a home

When The Blind Boys of Alabama open their mouths to sing, what comes out is older than salvation, older than redemption. It is the sound of oppression and struggle. It is the sound of revelation and liberation. It is a sound as old as time. The Blind Boys of Alabama are the pyramids of gospel music; the birthplace of sacred soul.
The three original members of the group, (which started out in 1939, as The Five Blind Boys Of Alabama) Clarence Fountain, Jimmy Carter, and George Scott, are all in their mid to late seventies and are all completely blind.
