Go Toward the Glow Lyrics

It's enough to make a boy cry
It's enough to make me ill
To have so much I wish I'd said
And have to walk away stillIt's enough to make a man frown
It's enough that you give us proof
But we trade it in, and once again
We lost a little more of something trueI would be what I should be to be your baby
I would be what I should be to be your child
I would be what I should be to make you happy all the time
Make my difference worth your whileThere's a light that makes things good
It's a hope that's more alive
Than anything has ever been
And that hope, it will surviveLike a moth going 'round the sky
Don't we need to find our sight?
And so we go toward the glow
That keeps us warm through bitter nights
Keeps us warm through bitter nightsI would be what I should be to be your baby
I would be what I should be to be your child

I would be what I should be to make you happy all the time
Make my difference worth your whileI would be what I should be to be your baby
I would be what I should be to see your smile
I would be what I should be to make you happy all the time
Make my difference worth your while
Make my difference worth your while

The Elms were an American Rock And Roll band from Seymour, Indiana active from 2000-2010 under Sparrow/EMI Records and later Universal Records South. They were known for their breed of midwestern, rootsy rock, with the essence of the music of the 60's and 70's. Musically, the band has been compared by critics to The Black Crowes, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Cream for their blues-tinged, instrumentally sparse arrangements.
