Gone Mad Lyrics

I get the feeling it was different here
Before we came along
Another young man murdered on the TV there
It seems so far from my comfy chairThe world isn't good, the world ain't bad
The world ain't happy and the world ain't sad
The thing about the world is it's gone mad, it's gone mad
The thing about the world isI get the feeling it was different here
Before we came along
Everybody's talking 'bout the good old days
How could they all be wrong? The thing about the world is it's gone mad
The only world that we've ever had
The only world that we can use
It's big and round and it's got the bluesThe thing about the world is
The world isn't good, the world ain't bad
The world ain't happy, the world ain't sad
The thing about the world is it's gone mad, it's gone mad
The thing about the world isI get the feeling it was different here
Before we came along

Everybody's talking 'bout the good old days
How could they all be wrong? In a world gone mad, in a world gone mad
In a world gone mad, in a world gone mad
In a world gone madBusiness man sittin' on a big empire
Only took one day to set a Rome on fire
Food on the table in the lucky cases
Sweet expressions on the children's facesThe thing about the world is
The world isn't good the world ain't bad
The world ain't happy and the world ain't sad
The thing about the world is it's gone mad, it's gone mad
The thing about the world isI get the feeling it was different here
Before we came along
Everybody's talking 'bout the good old days
How could they all be wrong?I get the feeling it was different here
Before we came along
Everybody's talking 'bout the good old days
Could they all be wrong?

B.G.K., or Balthasar Gerards Kommando were a 1980s Dutch punk band formed in 1982. The band were named after a Dutch historical figure named Balthasar Gerards, who assassinated the king of the Netherlands in 1584. Balthasar Gerards Kommando were formed in the early 1980s by members of punk band The Nitwitz (also from Amsterdam, the Netherlands). Rejecting the then-popular trend to emulate British Oi bands, BGK took their musical cues from American hardcore bands such as MDC, and soon developed an ultrafast style of their own.
