Good Morning Heartache Lyrics

Good morning heartache, you old gloomy sight
Good morning heartache, thought we said goodbye last night
I turned and tossed until it seemed you had gone
But here you are with the dawnWish I'd forget you, but you're here to stay
It seems I met you when my love went away
Now everyday I start by saying to you
Good morning heartache, what's newStop haunting me now
Can't chase you no how
Just leave me alone
I've got those Monday blues
Straight through Sunday bluesGood morning heartache, here we go again
Good morning heartache, you're the one who knew me when
Might as well get used to you hanging around
Good morning heartache, sit downStop haunting me now
Can't chase you no how
Just leave me alone
I've got those Monday blues
Straight through Sunday bluesGood morning heartache, here we go again

Good morning heartache, you're the one who knew me when
Might as well get used to you hanging around
Good morning heartache, sit down

Milton "Bags" Jackson (January 1, 1923 – October 9, 1999) was an American jazz vibraphonist, usually thought of as a bebop player, although he performed in several jazz idioms. He is especially remembered for his cool swinging solos as a member of the Modern Jazz Quartet and his penchant for collaborating with several hard bop and post-bop players. A very expressive player, Jackson differentiated himself from other vibraphonists in his attention to variations on harmonics and rhythm. He was particularly fond of the twelve-bar blues at slow tempos.
