People Make The World Go Round Lyrics

Trash men didn't get my trash today
Oh, why? Because they want more pay
Buses on strike want a raise in fare
So they can help pollute the airBut that's what makes the world go round
The ups and downs, the carousel
Changing people, [Incomprehensible] all around
Go underground, young man
People make the world go roundWall Street losin' dough on every share
They're blaming it on longer hair
Big men smokin' in their easy chairs
On a fat cigar without a careBut that's what makes the world go round
The ups and downs, the carousel
Changing people, [Incomprehensible] all around
Go underground, young man
People make the world go roundBut that's what makes the world go round
The ups and downs, the carousel
Changing people, [Incomprehensible] all around
Go underground, young man

People make the world go roundPeople make the world go round
People make the world go round
People make the world go round

Milton "Bags" Jackson (January 1, 1923 – October 9, 1999) was an American jazz vibraphonist, usually thought of as a bebop player, although he performed in several jazz idioms. He is especially remembered for his cool swinging solos as a member of the Modern Jazz Quartet and his penchant for collaborating with several hard bop and post-bop players. A very expressive player, Jackson differentiated himself from other vibraphonists in his attention to variations on harmonics and rhythm. He was particularly fond of the twelve-bar blues at slow tempos.
