Good One Comin' On Lyrics

Two six packs of shiner
A ninety nine cent, butane lighter
Lucky strikes an' a fifth of Patron
Ice down that Igloo cooler
A tank of gas, that oughta do her
Feels like a good one comin' onThrow in Ray, Wylie Hubbard
Sing along to "Redneck Mother"
Any blues I had before are gone
Another week of work is over
No chance of stayin' sober
I can feel a good one comin' onYeah, we're gonna roll all night
We're gonna get to feelin' right
We're gonna keep this party rockin'
Till the break of dawn
Yeah, I can feel a good one comin' onThree blonde's in a rag top Mustang
Followed us out to the lake
An' hell it didn't have to think about that too long
Skinny dippin' in the bright moonlight

Situation couldn't be more right
Looks like a good one comin' onYeah, we're gonna roll all night
We're gonna get to feelin' right
We're gonna keep this party rockin'
Till the break of dawnI can feel a good one
It looks like a good one
I can feel a good one comin' onYeah, we're gonna roll all night
We're gonna get to feelin' right
We're gonna keep this party rockin'
Till the break of dawnLooks like a good one
Yeah, I can feel a good one
It looks like a good one comin' onYeah, I can feel a good one
Don't it look like a good one
I can feel a good one comin' on

Willmon was raised on a ranch near Afton, Texas. By his second year in college, he dropped out to join a bluegrass band. In 1995, he moved to Nashville to start a songwriting career, and by 1998 he had a song-publishing contract with Sea Gayle Music. One of his first cuts as a songwriter was "It Doesn't Mean I Don't Love You". This song was recorded by the short-lived duo McHayes (which comprised 1990s country singer Wade Hayes and fiddler Mark McClurg), and reached #41 on the country charts in 2003.
