Good Wife - Ché Aimee

For an artist who has spent time recording in L.A. with acclaimed producer Greg Wells, Ché Aimee is incredibly humble. While the Vancouver-based singer song-writer looks back fondly upon the amazing experience of winning David Foster’s British Columbia Star Search, and thus securing time in the studio with the industry heavyweight, she would much rather talk about the inspiration behind her music than gloat about the impressive coup.

“I want to write something that has its own form of genius and really touches people,” muses the talented songbird. “I love listening to people like Nick Drake or Cat Power, their music is a soundtrack to your life – I want to make music like that.


She is well on her way. While Aimee admits that she finds the prospect of performing “nerve racking”, one would never know given the ease at which her powerful notes tumble forth.


Only five years after embarking on this journey, Aimee has numerous demos under her belt and a debut record on the way. While there are many achievements worthy of celebration in her burgeoning career, the humble songstress reveals that above all else, she is most proud of the fact that she is following her own path.

She appears as a guest vocalist on Devin Townsend Project’s first album and formed Casualties Of Cool with Devin Townsend.
