Great Spirit Lyrics

Great Spirit come, Great Spirit comeWho has chased away the moonbeams?
Who has pulled a blanket across the sky?
Who will sing in celebration
Throughout this land that's bound to die?Great Spirit come, Great Spirit come
(Oh, that's bound to dies)Who will put an end to all this sadness?
Who hears the Earth that cries beneath the burning rain?
All truth reduced to piles of greed and madness
The accident remains the sameGreat Spirit come, Great Spirit come
(Oh, always the same)Mmm, said, "It's alright, it seems okay"
Robbery and evil and the stealing
From the body and the mind for the healing
Of the spirit, pride and the will
And the will, and the will of the landGrace, courage, honesty and love
(Will of the land)
Grace, courage, honesty and love
(There's evil, there's evil, there's evil going on)Great Spirit come, Great Spirit comeI love my brother, I must share the seed
That falls through fortune at my feet
The Fate of Nations and of all their need

Lies trapped inside of these hearts of greedOoh, oh yeah, oh ooh, ooh oohGreat Spirit come, Great Spirit come
(Great Spirit come, come on, come on)
Great Spirit come, Great Spirit come
(Ooh yeah)(Ooh yeah)
Grace, courage, honesty and love
(Great Spirit come)
Grace, courage, honesty and love(Come on, come on, come on, come on
Come on, come on, come on)
Great Spirit
(The will of the land)
Great Spirit, Great Spirit come
(The will of the land)Ooh, we'll sing in celebration, ooh, we'll sing in celebration
Ooh, sing in celebration, celebration
Now, now, now, now, now, now sing in celebration

Robert Anthony Plant CBE (born 20 August 1948, West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England) is a British rock singer famous for being the lead vocalist of one of the most influential rock bands of all time: Led Zeppelin. He is known for his powerful style with a wide vocal range. After Led Zeppelin's breakup following the sudden death of drummer John Bonham in 1980, Plant pursued a successful solo career. Popular tracks from this period include "Big Log," "Tall Cool One," and "I Believe." In 1984, Plant formed a short-lived all-star group with Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and Phil Collins called The Honeydrippers, who had a Top Ten hit with a remake of the Phil Phillips' tune, "Sea of Love".

Plant's love of the music of Morocco led him to a new collaboration called Robert Plant And The Strange Sensation. The band's releases met with critical acclaim and numerous Grammy nominations. They completed the 2006 tour of Europe in September.

In 2007, Plant began recording and performing with bluegrass star Alison Krauss. A duet album, Raising Sand, was released on 23 October 2007 on Rounder Records. The album, recorded in Nashville and Los Angeles and produced by T-Bone Burnett met with enormous critical and commercial success.

The year of 2010 proves to be yet another successful year for the aging lemon squeezer. Durring the summer, Plant will be reuniting with his old, Pre-Zep group, The Band Of Joy, for a tour of the southern and mid continental tour of the US.
