Grizzly bear Lyrics

-Jerry Corbitt-
Whoa-oh, when I woke up this morning
She was gone, solid gone
When I woke up this morning
She was gone, solid gone
I used to love to watch her dance
That grizzly bear
I guess she's gone to Frisco, whoa-oh
To dance out there
'Coz when I woke up this morning
Yeah, she was gone, solid gone
I used to love to watch her dance
That grizzly bear
I guess she's gone to Frisco, whoa-oh

To dance out there
'Coz when I woke up this morning
Yeah, she was gone, solid gone
She did not even tell me
the reason why she was gone
She did not even tell me
the reason why she was gone
I used to love to watch her dance
That grizzly bear
I guess she's gone to Frisco, whoa-oh
To dance out there
'Coz Whoa when I woke up this morning
Yeah, she was gone, solid gone

Arthur Francis Collins (7 February 1864-3 August 1933) was a singer who recorded a significant amount of early records. His 1905 recording "The Preacher and the Bear" was the first record to sell two-million copies, and remained the biggest selling record until the dance bands of the '20s. After about 1905, his solo records were eclipsed by the duets he recorded with Byron Harlan, including the original hit version of "Alexander's Ragtime Band (Remastered)" in 1911.
