Halifax Lyrics

And far away in moonlit sky
a solitary pigeon flies over
bloody hilltops made of stone.
There's only one word on his breath, but to speak it would be certain
death, and he clearly doesn't want to die. We lay a cross upon a hill, and I suspect it lies there, still. It feels like it was yesterday. There are no words for Halifax who sits inside his cadillac and
judges the leather on the seats.
The empty house across the street is where we used to meet and watch on and on as time went by.
We can no longer run.
Our legs fell off, the Gods
have won. We're tired and misguided (just like you.) At least I didn't waste my life trying to get to Paradise. At least I lived my own lie.
