Forming September 2011, Hank originated as a side project for between (at the time member) guitarist Daniel Lee and drummer Nelson Cowan. Responding to an ad on a message board members Darwin Keup(bass) and Tedd Lerch(guitar), who were both in a band called Earthworm Brotherhood, joined the group. Then within a month wrote five songs and recorded their first album called "The Schrader EP" which proved that this was no longer a side project and became the main focus for the band.
