Happy Home Lyrics

Of course I knew I shouldn't love you
So I fought with all the strength in me not to
To force this miles above you
Miles with nothing in betweenThere's barely anything to leave you now
But memories conjured up in both our minds
I'm so afraid that I might lose them
In the trajectory of timeIn this happy home
I am so alone
The picture on the wall of smiling faces
Says it allOf course I knew I couldn't love you
But then that would be a fairy tale
So I fell hook line and sink her
I'm a fool who's suffered wellIn this happy home
I am so alone
The picture on the wall of smiling faces
Says it allI'll never know you
Waiting turns to sleep
The only promises I'll make are ones

That I can keepOf course I knew I couldn't love you
Of course I knew I shouldn't love you
Of course I knew

Antigone Rising is an all-female New York City based rock band. Their music is influenced by classic rock from the 1970s such as The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac, mixed with pop overtones and at times folk and country elements. They met at Bucknell University and formed in New York City's Greenwich Village in 1993, with sisters Cathy (guitar) and Kristen Henderson (guitar/drums) as the primary force, with Penelope "Peppy" Kokines taking lead vocals and Suzanne Obolsky on vocals and percussion.
