Haunted By You Lyrics

I, I cross the road and I hide
Just to avoid the times
When you sat at my side
So battered by the tideA wreck exposed at my door
My eyes they cannot lie
So get up from the floor
For you, you've had your timeYour chance has gone
You're not so strong
Your tongue, they cannot harm me nowI cross the road and I hide
Just to avoid the times
When you sat at my side
So battered by the tideYour chance has gone
You're not so strong
Your tongue, they cannot harm me nowWith all the things that I've said
I'm still haunted by you
In every town, in every place, you're waitingThen on my tongue lies disgrace
I'm still haunted by you
Yes, you, you're in my wayWith all the things that I've said

I'm still haunted by you
In every town, in every place, you're waitingFrom(incomprehensible)to the grave
I've been haunted by you
Yes, you're in my wayWith all the things that I've said
I'm still haunted by you
In every town, in every place, you're waitingAnd on my tongue lies disgrace
I'm still haunted by you
Yes, you're in my wayWith all the things that I've said
I'm still haunted by you
In every town, in every place, you're waitingAnd on my tongue lies disgrace
I'm still haunted by you
Yes, you, you're in my way

There are two bands with this name: 1) Gene were a British indie/rock quartet which rose to prominence in the mid-1990s. The band was formed in London by lead singer Martin Rossiter in 1993, and disbanded in 2004. The line-up comprised Matt James (drummer), Kevin Miles (bassist), Steve Mason (guitarist), and Martin Rossiter (vocalist, keyboards). They were popularly labelled as a britpop band, and often drew somewhat superficial comparisons to The Smiths, if only because of their slightly Morrissey-esque lead singer, Martin Rossiter.
