Left-Handed Lyrics

I said, I have one single success to my name
So take cover, I am coming out today
There is no turn of phrase, no easy way to say
I'll find my feet and I'll choose my own nameIt's hard to be left-handed but smile you're not the only one
I know you've been left stranded, bruised, kicked
Lost your mother's love but take it from me
And take it from me but take it from meEvil, I've seen your face and I know just
How you feel your Victorian descendant
It's illegal, that my clan just aren't seen as people
On the Isle Of Man, I'll serve my timeIt's hard to be left-handed but smile you're not the only one
I know you've been left stranded, bruised, kicked
Lost your mother's love but take it from me
And take it from me, oh take it from meI will be there tomorrow, I will be there tomorrow
I will be there tomorrow, I will be there tomorrow
I will be there tomorrow, I will be there tomorrow
I will be there tomorrow, I will be there

There are two bands with this name: 1) Gene were a British indie/rock quartet which rose to prominence in the mid-1990s. The band was formed in London by lead singer Martin Rossiter in 1993, and disbanded in 2004. The line-up comprised Matt James (drummer), Kevin Miles (bassist), Steve Mason (guitarist), and Martin Rossiter (vocalist, keyboards). They were popularly labelled as a britpop band, and often drew somewhat superficial comparisons to The Smiths, if only because of their slightly Morrissey-esque lead singer, Martin Rossiter.
