Heartache Lyrics

Where did those brass band mornings go
And the dreaming over tea, God only knows
Was it so long ago, you're tried to let me knowYou'd seen this face
Somewhere before
Now you know for sure
That you can call himThat you can call him heartache
Yes, you can call him that
You can call him a heartache
You'll never take it backOnce there was spring inside his eyes
Now there's only autumn winds and sad gray skies
And I'm such a fool to think that I could change the rules
I'd seen his face somewhere before, now I know for sureThat you can call him heartache
Yes you can call him that
You can call him a heartache
You'll never take it backAnd you can call him heartache
Yes, you can call him that
You can call him heartache
You'll never take it backYou've seen his face

Somewhere before
Now you know for sure

Born Erin Moran, in New Jersey, USA, she began her musical career singing backing vocals and playing keyboards for singer/songwriter Francis Dunnery and got the chance to tour Great Britain. In 1999, she teamed with DJ Sae One under the name Leomoon, and they released one self-titled electro-folk album. In 2001, she issued her debut EP, Tears All Over Town on Le Grand Magistery. A chance meeting with Richard Hawley (Pulp, Longpigs) led her to start recording what would become her proper first album. The album simply called A Girl Called Eddy subsequently appeared on Anti in August 2004.
