Heartless People Lyrics

The air you breathe, land and seas ruled by heartless people
Wars afar, lovers scarred, all by heartless people
But you, you and I, hate to see a flower die
Somebody tell me which way the power lies
Somebody tell me which way the power lies
I looked at you, I knew you were for me
Among them heartless people
And when we met the hard times just left
Along with heartless people
But you, you and I, hate to hear a baby cry
Somebody tell me which way the power lies
Somebody tell me which way the power lies
No one ever really knew the trouble in my heart
She had a way with me, right from the very start
Before I take my last breath, before they call me home
You can hope for the best
But what is written in stone
The air you breathe, land and seas, ruled by heartless people

Wars afar, lovers scarred, all by heartless people
But you, you and I, hate to see a flower die
Somebody tell me which way the power lies
Somebody tell me which way the power lies
Somebody tell me which way the power lies
Which way the power lies x 4
