Hell Lyrics

Tis the coming of the calm before the storm
Is it in the nick of time are we already out of line
I think its time we got ready....And did you crucify yourself show resistance or beg for some more I wanna
wish you well
I don't think it went so well
I wanna wish you wellA line is on your mind and your eyes aren't gonna close
That's why your hair stays so heavy
A blurry blissful swift decent
And now you wonder where you went
And did you qualify yourself crucify yourself
Lose your direction
Or go for the gold
I wanna wish you wellI didn't think youd come inThank you for coming here
Get me out as fast as you can
This aint my hell I wanted
Whos gonna want hell if ya want it ( 2 X's)Would you like to gain your perspective
I couldn't get it anymoreI wanna wish you well
I don't think it went to well

I wanna wish you well
Well I didn't think youd come here for meThank you for coming here
Get me out as fast as you can
This aint my hell I wanted
Whos gonna want hell if ya want it ( 2 X's)

Originally called MK Ultra, doubleDrive arrived on the music scene in their hometown of Atlanta in 1996. After winning the award for Atlanta's favorite "metal/extreme band" in 1998, doubleDrive signed a record deal with MCA Records and subsequently released their first studio album, the self-produced 1000 Yard Stare, in August 1999. The single from this album, Tattooed Bruise, rose to #17 on Billboard's Rock Radio airplay charts

In 2001, doubleDrive began recording a second album with producer John Kurzweg. However, the band subsequently parted with MCA Records and the completed album remained unreleased.

After shopping the album, the band signed with Roadrunner Records and re-entered the studio in 2002 with well-known producer Michael Barbiero to remix part of the album, and to record new songs. The resulting album, Blue in the Face, was released in April 2003. This album yielded a #14 single, the song Imprint. Imprint was also featured on ESPN's Major League Baseball coverage that same year.

doubleDrive toured extensively in the US and Australia, sharing stages with bands such as Sevendust, Kid Rock, Godsmack, Our Lady Peace, Clutch, Type O Negative, Shinedown, Silverchair, Queensrÿche, Finger Eleven, Megadeth, Seether, Tesla, Stereomud, Revis, 12 Stones, Cold, and many others....

On December 3, 2003, doubleDrive played their final show at the Cotton Club in Atlanta.

Singer Donnie Hamby is now doing DVD work (including Sevendust's Southside Doublewide Acoustic Live and Next DVDs, a live Edwin McCain DVD, and many others); guitarist Troy McLawhorn now plays with Dark New Day, Evanescence, and Seether; drummer Mike Froedge now performs with Open Sky Separators, and produces bands in his Atlanta recording studio, Open Sky Studio. Mike and bassist Josh Sattler are also working on a new project with Nick Catanese from Black Label Society, and Mike Stone from Queensryche, tentatively called Speed X.
