Here's My Hand Lyrics

We all want to get our way sometimes
We're all born then choose to give up our lives
You hooked me when you promised the way
So from now until forever I sayHere's my hand, here's my hand
You told me I was good enough to stand
Here's my handWe all know the limits in our design
So live off the truth and make up your mind
It's silly just to get in the way
So put 'em up and say it todayHere's my hand, here's my hand
You told me I was good enough to stand
Here's my handAnd what you give, you take it along
And what you hold, you find that it's goneWe all want to get our way sometimes
Here's my hand, here's my hand
You told me I was good enough to standHere's my hand, here's my hand
You told me I was good enough to stand
Here's my hand, here's my hand
You told me I was good enough to stand
Here's my hand, here's my hand, here's my hand

The Elms were an American Rock And Roll band from Seymour, Indiana active from 2000-2010 under Sparrow/EMI Records and later Universal Records South. They were known for their breed of midwestern, rootsy rock, with the essence of the music of the 60's and 70's. Musically, the band has been compared by critics to The Black Crowes, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Cream for their blues-tinged, instrumentally sparse arrangements.
