Here's Your Freakin' Song Lyrics

Kickin' the can and I'm drunk tooBaby, for years you've been saying
"Why don't you write me a song?"
And I've been like, "I don't know
'Cause I'm not inspired to write you a song"But last night I decided
I'm gonna freakin' do thisWe've been together for so long
And you always asked me why I never wrote a song
All about you, about our love
And about how you're the only one I'm thinking ofI've been writing all night and I
I got it just right, here we goYou talk too much, you never shut up
Everything I do for you is never enough
You snore, you drool, you talk in your sleep
Won't get a night's rest until you're six feet deepI promised you forever but we both know
We're never gonna get along
You want it, you got it
Here's your freakin' songAnd all my homies have always said
"What you doing with that girl?
She's fucked up in the head"My mom don't like you, my dad don't too
And my brother says you look like

A guy from Who's ScadooI'm just keeping it real
This is just how I feel, here we goYou talk too much, you never shut up
Everything I do for you is never enough
You snore, you drool, you talk in your sleep
Won't get a night's rest until you're six feet deepI promised you forever but we both know
We're never gonna get along
You want it, you got it
Here's your freakin' songI can't talk or you'll get pissed
Used to dream I don't exist
I say, yes, and you say no, like any bitches, gotta goWith all the shit that we've been through
This is the best that I can do
Can I still get lucky tonight? Please?I'm using manners and everything, I uh
I, I hope you like this song
I spent a lot of time on itBut I've been spent, oh, there's Erik
Just playin', I didn't really spend a lot of time on this
But uh, this is the chorusYou talk too much, you never shut up
Everything I do for you is never enough
You snore, you drool, you talk in your sleep
Won't get a night's rest until you're six feet deepI promised you forever but we both know
We're never gonna get along
You want it, you got it
Here's your freakin' songYou want it, you got it
Here's your freakin' song
You want it, you got it
Here's your freakin' songOkay, I don't know why this is still going
I anticipated this be 3 minutes long, it's still going
Here I don't know what's happening
Anyway that's this song that I wrote for you and itOkay uh, evidently it's over now, I don't know
I have no idea on the timing of it or anything and I, uh
Boy, this is sort of an awkward moment here
I, uh, uh, I'm going to be honest, I have to pee

Bowling for Soup (acronym: BFS, or sometimes B4S) is a pop punk band based in Denton, Texas (but originally from Wichita Falls, Texas) formed in 1994 from the ruins of an old metal band. Quoting Jaret Reddick, the lead singer, "we wanted to make happy music". They're known for their often humorous lyrics, upbeat guitar riffs, and Jaret's distinctive voice.

They are best known for their singles "Girl All The Bad Guys Want" in 2002 on Drunk Enough To Dance which was nominated for a 2003 Grammy Award for "Best Pop Performance by a Group or Duo" and "1985" (originally written by Mitch Allan of SR-71) in 2004 on A Hangover You Don't Deserve. Speaking with Songfacts about "Girl All The Bad Girls Want" in a 2010 interview, Reddick said: "'Girl All The Bad Guys Want' was my very first co-write ever, and me and Butch Walker sat in a room and literally wrote that song in 30 minutes. I mean, it was done."

The band's name is derived from comedian Steve Martin's "Bowling for Sh*t" routine from his 1978 comedy album, Wild and Crazy Guy, itself a reference to Bowling for Dollars. Jaret Reddick has also stated that at the end of his last performance with his old band one of the members came on stage and proclaimed "Come back next week when we play with our new band... Bowling For Soup!". This was supposed be to be joke name, but since they couldn't think of anything better the name stuck. Their single '1985' can be found on the UK and the Norwegian editions of Singstar Rocks for the PS2.

They have also became hits on Radio Disney with edits of "1985", "Punk Rock 101", "High School Never Ends", and the inclusion of their version of "I Melt With You" in the Disney movie "Sky High". They have also written and recorded "Today Is Gonna Be A Great Day" as the theme song for Disney's "Phineas and Ferb"

Band Lineup:
Jaret Reddick - Lead Vocals/guitar
Chris Burney - Guitar/vocals
Erik Chandler - Bass/vocals
Gary Wiseman - Drums
