Hide Away Lyrics

Hide away, hide awayMake sure that I never come back
Gotta disappear and I never come back
Gotta make sure that I never come back
Gotta make sureI'm gonna pack up all my bags, vanish while I can
Leave this town behind, pay it all no mind
I'm gonna fly away and no one's gonna find meKeep my destination quiet
Take an early morning flight
And never tell a soul just light out on my own
I'm gonna fly away and no one's gonna find meI'm gonna wear some fake disguise
Change the color of my eyes, I'm going hide away
Yes, and you're gonna be surprised
I'll be wise before my time, I'm going hide awayMake sure that I never come back
Gotta disappear and I never come back
Gotta make sure that I never come back
Gotta disappearI'm gonna rent a small hotel, throw away my cell
Cut off all my hair, sweep away my cares
I'm gonna fly away and no one's gonna find meI'm out of everybody's reach
Out on some twisted beach, I'm gonna hide away

Dissolve right out this scene
Out of everybody's dreams, I'm gonna hide away, hide awayMake sure that I never come back
Gotta disappear and I never come back
Gotta make sure that I never come back
Gotta disappear and I never come backHide away, hide away
Hide away, hide away
Hide away, hide awayI'm never gonna come back again, baby
I'll never come back again
Make sure that I never come back
Gotta disappear and I never come back
Gotta make sure that I never come back
Gotta disappear and I never come backGotta make sure that I never come back
Gotta disappear and I never come back
Gotta make sure that I never come back
Gotta disappear and I never come back

Formed in 1979 with drummer Chris Layton and bassist Jackie Newhouse, Stevie Ray Vaughan fronted the band which he named Double Trouble. The band was joined in 1981 by bass player Tommy Shannon & 1985 by keyboardist Reese Wynans. Stevie Ray Vaughan tragically died on August 27, 1990 in a helicopter accident, having taken the seat that his brother Jimmie Vaughan or some have reported Eric Clapton would have been sitting in. He had a wide range of influences, most notably Lonnie Mack, Albert King, Freddie King, Albert Collins, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton & Jimi Hendrix.
