Mary Had A Little Lamb Lyrics

Mary had a little lamb
One holy morning
'Neath the star of Bethlehem
A brand new day was formingGuided by the shining light
And the Angel's voice
Wise men traveled through the night
To see the baby Boy'Cause Mary had a little lamb
King of kings and Son of Man
Mary had a little lamb of GodThey gathered 'round to see the lamb
In the manger sleeping
Such a humble throne for Him
The promise God was keepingThere the shepherds bowed their heads
Among the cattle lowing
The first ever Christmas gift
Was wrapped in swaddling clothesMary had a little lamb
King of kings and Son of Man
Mary had a little lamb of GodFor the world a sacrifice
Mary did give birth

The way she held Him in Her arms
Is how He holds the earthMary had a little lamb
King of kings and Son of Man
Mary had a little lamb of GodMary had a little lamb
King of kings and Son of Man
Mary had a little lamb of GodOh, Mary had a little lamb
King of kings and Son of Man
Mary had a little lamb of God

The band was joined in 1981 by bass player Tommy Shannon & 1985 by keyboardist Reese Wynans. Stevie Ray Vaughan tragically died on August 27, 1990 in a helicopter accident, having taken the seat that his brother Jimmie Vaughan or some have reported Eric Clapton would have been sitting in. He had a wide range of influences, most notably Lonnie Mack, Albert King, Freddie King, Albert Collins, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton & Jimi Hendrix.
