Two nights ago
When the wind it blew
And the moon was full
And the streets and the people were few
I had left in the stadium at noon
My portfolio on seat number two
And I needed it for a project soon due
I got to the door
And I walked down the hall
I looked at the ceiling
And I looked at the wall
When I got to the entrance
Looked across the ice
Seat number two was surrounded by mice

Hockey players I knew

Were booked from 1872
I was perplexed
To see so many men
Who seemed so young
Whose days had come to an end
When the players
Beckoned to me
I crept across the ice
And spoke to goalie
"You're just in time for a game of hockey"
I stood up, the referee
Dropped the puck
We had quite a game
But I was down on my luck
When the handshakes were done
I felt a pat on my back
Felt my portfolio
Slide into my pack
And when I got home
I paid those players back
