Holy Ghost - Messinian

Messinian was born on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles on April 25, 1979. He wrote his first rhyme at 11 and started getting in cyphers and freestyling at age 12. His early influences include Chuck D, Kool G Rap, James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, Rakim, Jim Morrison, N.W.A, Otis Redding, BDP, Paris, David Bowie and his mother Helena's piano and soul music. Messinian is into music of all genres and is completing more Hip Hop, Rock, Soul, Drum & Bass, and Experimental projects as you read this.


Messinian struggled through the adversity of poverty, homelessness, drug addiction, daily fistfights, and other things we won't discuss here. He rose above all this bullshit with the power of his family's Love and Music. Messinian believes that Love and Music are the two greatest gifts that can ever be given. When Messinian isn't traveling the world rapping at underground parties and raves, he is making beats at his studio in North Philly.

Messinian has performed at countless parties in the states and internationally including tours in Japan, South Africa, England, Austria, Macedonia, Serbia, South Korea, Holland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Australia, Costa Rica, Canada, Poland, Hungary, Switzerland, Venezuela, Lithuania, Belgium, Estonia, and many more. Messinian tours year round and once a year with DJ's Dieselboy, AK1200, and Dara as the Planet of the Drums crew.
