Homeless - The African Mama's

Founded just a few years ago, The African Mamas are a 10-member band from Johannesburg, South Africa. Their repertoire consists mainly of a capella vocals, often telling personal stories with incisive social commentary. They are also supported by a tight live band playing different shades of township jive, mbaqanga, soul, gospel, blues and jazz. Revolving around hard work in the present and hopeful confidence in the future, The African Mamas' multifacetted two-hour live shows are brimming with dazzling theatrical, musical and dance colours.
