Hooked Lyrics

Uh baby
I'm hooked ridin' back on you
Maybe it looked like we were through
But baby I'm hooked ridin' back on you
Ain't a thing I can do
When we go out at night
You never talk to me
But when you hold me tight
With all my might
I can't seem to break free
You got me hooked but I don't care
Cause I don't wanna go nowhere
But I can't stay for another day
I got to get away
But baby
I'm hooked ridin' back on you
Maybe it looked like we were through
But baby I'm hooked ridin' back on you

Ain't a thing I can do
I give you all my love
You never give it back
But when you hold me close
You almost give me a heart attack
You got me hooked but I don't mind
Cause I don't wanna leave your side
But I can't stay, even one more day
I've got to say goodbye
You know
You're such a bad girl, bad girl
You got me in your trap girl, bad girl
Why don't you let me be, bad girl, bad girl
Why do you torture me, bad girl, bad girl
You got me hooked but I don't care
Cause I don't wanna go nowhere
But I can't stay for another day
I got to get away
But baby
I'm hooked ridin' back on you
Maybe it looked like we were through
But baby I'm hooked ridin' back on you
Ain't a thing I can do
Baby I'm hooked ridin' back on you
Maybe it looked like we were through
But baby I'm hooked ridin' back on you
Ain't a thing I can do

I started playing guitar at age 10, gigging at 11, made my first record at about age 20 with Danny Dollar and have been at it ever since.

Most of the gigs around Florida in the mid-to-late sixties were teen dances or frat parties. My band, The Enemies, was still a little too young for the clubs but we were able to stay busy thanks to some local T.V. appearances. At 17, I went to Nashville to attend college at David Lipscomb, but dropped out after about a year to play music full-time and at 19, I got married.
