Horizontal Lyrics

I have been lying under a pillow of dreams
And feeling moments of swimming in cream
This is the start of the end, goodbye
Flowers are facing my life and dying
You are a good friend, friendly as good friends can be
Your father wants you to live on his knees
This is the start of the end, climb binding
Bedsides and blue sights within, reminding
I have been lying under a pillow of dreams
And feeling moments of swimming in cream
This is the start of the end, goodbye
Flowers are facing my life and dying

After returning to Detroit, Flowers took up a residency at Baker's Keyboard Lounge, where he played intermittently into the middle of the 1950s.
