How About Forever Lyrics

There was a time though it seemed strange,
When I didn't know your face,
And I didn't know your name.Somewhere our paths crossed along the way,
And now there is only one more thing I've got to say.How 'bout the good days? And how 'bout the bad?
In with the laughter, and out the sadness
How long will I love you? How long could it go on?
How 'bout forever? Our love will be strong.I wanna love you so long that your taste change,
You say I like new things now,
But I love you the same way.
I wanna love you 'til we're old and grey,
For the rest of our years and our weeks and our months and our minutes and days. How 'bout the good days? And how 'bout the bad?
In with the laughter, and out the sadness
How long will I love you? How long could it go on?
How 'bout forever? Our love will be strong. How 'bout the good days? And how 'bout the bad?
In with the laughter, and out the sadness
How long will I love you? How long could it go on?
How 'bout forever? Our love will be strong.
How 'bout forever? Our love will be strong.

It seems a long time since I lived down the long road and through the woods in the house where I grew up. And every morning I woke up to the sunrise over the Illinois River. Then I turned sixteen and found out the sun rises nearly as beautiful riding the early morning train as the glow lights up Lake Michigan. I discovered what it meant to play guitar and sing and write, and perhaps played and sang too often and too loud for my aunt and uncle who I lived with at the time. But by 18, I was in New York City where I've been ever since. Now the sunrise is the end to a beautiful night more often than it is the start of a beautiful day, but that doesn't mean I'm not still looking. These songs are fact and fiction, but none are lies.
