How Much Longer Lyrics

Just one question
For how much longer do we tolerate mass murder?
For how much longer do we tolerate mass murder?Tolerance is a mask of apathy
Attrition is a daily policy
There's a hell of a lot of money to be made from wars
All that we ask for is our very own garden of Eden
Our apathy in the face of the misery of others for our inactions
In the face of their murder and enslavement (Phallic nuclear warheads were born in the hearts of men)
Nixon and Kissinger should be tried for war crimes (American aircraft carriers are heading for Iran)
For the secret bombing of Cambodia
P.L.O.
Spells Plutonium
The Muslims are rising up
Jihad means holy war
Every badly paid moment of boredom on the production line
Is a violent crimeFor how much longer do we tolerate mass murder? In your ignorance, people are killed
In your decadence, people die
All that we ask for is our very own garden of Eden

All that we get is a garden of interballistic missiles
All that we get is a garden of interballistic missiles
Phallic nuclear warheads were born in the hearts of men
Why let sadistic mass murderers control our world? (Just heard that President Carter is threatening military intervention)
Action to back up belief
They're planning the holocaust
Children born with un-acclaimed joy
Children born with un-acclaimed joy

The Pop Group were a post-punk band which formed in 1978 in Bristol, England. They consisted of Mark Stewart (vocals), John Waddington (guitar), Gareth Sager (guitar), Simon Underwood (bass) and Bruce Smith (drums). Their uncompromising, dissonant sound spanned punk, free jazz, funk and dub music. Their lyrics were, more often than not, politically charged. In '79 they issued their debut single, "She Is Beyond Good and Evil" on the Radar label.
