Hurt Lyrics

Oh, yeah, oh yeah
How do you sleep through the night
Where do you go when you hide
Waiting for the truth to call
I don't fear you anymore
How do you think I'm alright
It's the way I wait
It's the way you've changed
And I like the way you hurt inside
Always waiting for the worst, to get me by
And I like the way you hurt
Does it really come
Does it really come as a surprise
Oh, yeah, oh, yeah
From all the years that went by
Through all your shit, i've survived
You would have thought I had died
But I made it out alive

How do you sleep through the night
It's the lies you gave
Now the rules have changed
And I like the way you hurt inside
Always waiting for the worst, to get me by
And I like the way you hurt
Does it really come
Does it really come as a surprise
It's no surprise
It's no surprise
It's the lies you gave
Now the rules have changed
And I like the way you hurt inside
Always waiting for the worst, to get me by
And I like the way you hurt
After all you've done, look what I've become
And I like the way you hurt inside
Always waiting for the worst, to get me by
And I like the way you hurt
Does it really come
It doesn't really come as a surprise

Since its inception, this power house act has played extensively throughout the West Coast and Mid West. Over time, the band has experimented with its ever-evolving style to come up with a sound that would be as infectious as it is potent. WES sound is a fusion of the different musical backgrounds that they share. Cesar’s experimental sound can be heard in his intros and his solos. His versatility is what gives the band substance. Ezequiel brings the subtle air of punk rock in his drum beats which gives the music its raw sound. The heavy riffs come from the metal bass lines brought by Israel. The package is completed by the vocals. Eric’s vocals range from a free-flow, to a soulful melodic singing voice, to an angry-guttural scream. It is the range of different musical qualities, styles, and textures that give the WES sound its fullness.
