I Could Never Be That Man Lyrics

I've got my reasons for holding backCan't give my trust too fastI've pulled myself out of the wreck
Too many timesTo think that words can lastYou need someone to help youWhen you're downPick you like a pearl from the sand
Somebody who is devoted to youRight beside you when you take a stand
I could never be that manYou have a special shrine in your roomPictures of lovers on the wall
I loved to lie there and look into their eyesSo confident before you let them fallWill you tell me pleaseHow you get them off their knees
Twirling round you fast as they can
How did you knowThat it worries me soNot the ones who fall the ones who stand
Oh I could never be that manI still remember that time in my lifeWhen I was sinking so low
You stayed with me all through the nightSang me some songs you knowNow as time goes onI wonder what went wrongDidn't I fit into your little planCouldn't I be the one
You lay your troubles onWalk you to the edge and hold your handPick you like a pearl from the sandI'll open every doorway that I can
Oh I could never be that man

Enjoy the lyrics !!!
