I Cried Lyrics

I cried, babe, oh, I cried
I saw you in a movie or was it on my wall?
I never dreamed you'd talk to me
I never dreamed at allYou fitted very strongly
You might have changed my life
Oh, I was very young then
You came along just rightThis is what I cried, oh, oh, oh
Now you know I cried, oh, oh, ohI walked the stellar ceiling
My feet were off the ground
You talked of something permanent
When saturday comes roundThis is what I cried, oh, oh, oh
This is why I cried, woh, oh, oh
This is what I cried, woh, oh, oh
Now you know I criedKisses gone crazy
Come on, tease me 'till I scream
Promise is a maybe
Running through my dreamIt's what I hear you whisper
Soft across my room

Chase my whole confusion
Rescue from my gloomThis is what I cried, oh, oh, oh
Now you know I cried, oh, oh, ohYour eyes are where the summer lives
In pools of quiet fire
Come mess with my sincerity
Go down on my desire, oh, oh, oh, ohI feast on your expression
The smile that tells it all
On my mind forever
Forever on my wallThis is what I cried, oh, oh, oh
Now you know I cried, oh, oh, oh
This is what I cried, oh, oh, oh
This is what I cried

Robert Anthony Plant CBE (born 20 August 1948, West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England) is a British rock singer famous for being the lead vocalist of one of the most influential rock bands of all time: Led Zeppelin. He is known for his powerful style with a wide vocal range. After Led Zeppelin's breakup following the sudden death of drummer John Bonham in 1980, Plant pursued a successful solo career. Popular tracks from this period include "Big Log," "Tall Cool One," and "I Believe." In 1984, Plant formed a short-lived all-star group with Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and Phil Collins called The Honeydrippers, who had a Top Ten hit with a remake of the Phil Phillips' tune, "Sea of Love".

Plant's love of the music of Morocco led him to a new collaboration called Robert Plant And The Strange Sensation. The band's releases met with critical acclaim and numerous Grammy nominations. They completed the 2006 tour of Europe in September.

In 2007, Plant began recording and performing with bluegrass star Alison Krauss. A duet album, Raising Sand, was released on 23 October 2007 on Rounder Records. The album, recorded in Nashville and Los Angeles and produced by T-Bone Burnett met with enormous critical and commercial success.

The year of 2010 proves to be yet another successful year for the aging lemon squeezer. Durring the summer, Plant will be reuniting with his old, Pre-Zep group, The Band Of Joy, for a tour of the southern and mid continental tour of the US.
