I Don't Wanna Go Home Lyrics

I see the hour's getting kinda late
I know you've got to get to work by eight
Yes I know
But I don't wanna go homeI wish you'd ask me to spend the night
It may be wrong and it may be right
I don't know
But I don't wanna go home'Cause when I'm with you the time just goes by so fast
Each time I kiss you I pray it won't be the lastSo if you ask me to go I will
But I don't wanna go home
Yes if you ask me you know I will
But I don't wanna go home
I wanna hold you close to meYou wouldn't ask me to spend the night
You may be wrong or you may be right
I don't know
But I don't wanna go homeThe day I found you I thought my ship had arrived
'Cause when I'm around you you make me feel so aliveSo if you ask me to go I will
But I don't wanna go home
Yes if you ask me you know I will

But I don't wanna go home
I wanna hold you close to me

Klaatu was a Canadian progressive rock band formed in 1973 and disbanded in 1982. Members John Woloschuk, Dee Long and Terry Draper lived in Toronto. They released five studio albums, the most famous of which is the 1976 debut 3:47 EST (AKA Klaatu), which, due to a rumor started by a DJ, was believed by some to be a front for new work by The Beatles. The album's artwork contained no credits for the performers, and there were at times vocal similarities with Lennon and McCartney. That album's song "Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft" became a hit when covered by Carpenters.
