I Hear You Knocking Lyrics

You went away and left me long ago
And now you're knocking on my doorI hear you knocking
But you can't come in
I hear you knocking
Go back where you've beenWell, I begged you not to go but you said goodbye
And now you're telling me all your liesI hear you knocking
But you can't come in
I hear you knocking
Go back where you've been, wellYou better get back to your used-to-be
'Cause your kind of love ain't good for meI hear you knocking
But you can't come in
Yes, I hear you knocking
Go back where you've beenI told you way back in '92
That I would never stay with youI hear you knocking
But you can't come in
Oh, no, I hear you knocking
Go back where you've beenWell, I hear you knocking
But you can't come in

I hear you knocking
Go back where you've been
