1.Deadeye Dick was an alternative rock band formed in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1991. The band, which constisted of vocalist/guitarist Caleb Guillote, drummer Bill Landry, and bassist Mark Adam Miller, took its name from a Kurt Vonnegut novel. They self-produced their own album without having a record deal. The song "New Age Girl" became a popular hit in the southeast from touring there and received airplay. The song's popularity gave it a spot on the Dumb and Dumber soundtrack and as a result helped the song climb to #27 on the Billboard Hot 100. They released other albums on an independent label called Ichiban Records, but couldn't reach the success of "New Age Girl". Deadeye Dick disbanded in 1996.
