I Left My Body and Never Came Back Lyrics

You know, I can't forget what I saw the last
The bright red dress and the yellow sash
The cold blew in with the past the day
I left my body and never came backWas in my tenth grade year when I lost my love
She told me that she'd had enough
The cold blew in and it burned the day
I left my body and never returned
Left my body and never returnedAnd you watch your baby become a lady
Then you cry but maybe then
You'll get a chance againI brought an open heart and a big bouquet
The perfect gift for a summer day
You never know when you'll become a man
I left that flower and never came back
Left that flower and never came backAnd you watch your baby become a lady
And you cry but maybe then
You'll get a chance againAnd you watch your baby become a lady
And you cry but maybe
She'll get a chance to save meIn the time she kissed me

She became my history
I would kill to try again
I'll get a chance again

Enjoy the lyrics !!!

The Elms were an American Rock And Roll band from Seymour, Indiana active from 2000-2010 under Sparrow/EMI Records and later Universal Records South. They were known for their breed of midwestern, rootsy rock, with the essence of the music of the 60's and 70's. Musically, the band has been compared by critics to The Black Crowes, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Cream for their blues-tinged, instrumentally sparse arrangements.
