I Love You More Than Words Can Say Lyrics

Please, let me sit down beside you
I've got something to tell you, you should know
I just couldn't wait for not another day
I love you for more than words can ever say
Honey, living without you is so painful, yeah
I was tempted to call it a day, yeah
You've got me in your hand, why can't you understand?
I love you, baby, for more than words can say, yeah yeah
I just can't sleep when I lay down, oh, in my bed
The thoughts of you, babe, just linger in my head
Living without you is so painful, oh
I was tempted to call it a day, yeah
You've got me in your hand, why can't you understand?
I love you, honey, for more than words can say, yeah
I love you, honey, for more than words can say, yes, I do, no

Cariker (July 19, 1937 - March 19, 1993) was an American folk blues singer and banjo player associated with the early 1960s Greenwich Village folk music scene, particularly with Fred Neil and The Holy Modal Rounders as well as Bob Dylan. Dalton, whose heritage was Cherokee, was born Karen J. Cariker in Enid, Oklahoma. Her bluesy, world-weary voice is often compared to that of iconic jazz singer Billie Holiday. She sang blues, folk, country, pop, Motown - making over each song in her own style. She played the twelve string Gibson guitar and a long neck banjo.
