I Need To Be Loved Lyrics

Well, I'm hungry for lovin'
But I just can't get me none
I tried and I tried
But I can't find anyoneWon't somebody tell me what the reason can be?
Why no girl wants to give her
Love to me?Everybody needs something
And I need to be lovedAnd most people have it
And they get it all the time
But I do without it, tell me why can't love be mine?I tried for so long
But it's so hard to find
A lover to help me
It's breakin' my mindEverybody needs something
And I need to be lovedWell, I spend my time lost and lonely
Everyday and all night
I don't know how long I can go on
All I know is it ain't rightWell now, can't find that certain someone
And I just don't understand
I know out there, there's a girl somewhere

For such a lonely manI'll come home this evening just like all the nights before
And I'll be alone when I walk through my front door
And I'll go to bed 'round a quarter to two
And I will start cryin' like I always doEverybody needs something
And I need to be lovedWhoa, I need to be loved
Yeah, I need to be loved

The Jeff Healey Band was a Canadian blues-rock band led by guitarist and vocalist Jeff Healey (born Norman Jeffrey Healey on March 25, 1966 in Toronto, Canada; died March 2, 2008). Formed in 1986 in Toronto, ON, the original lineup consisted of Jeff Healey, Joe Rockman on bass, and Tom Stephen on drums.

The group played around small Toronto-area clubs for a few years before eventually signing with BMG Canada and Arista Records for the rest of the world, and releasing their debut album See The Light in 1988, which featured the top charting hits "Angel Eyes" and "See The Light".

The band played and recorded blues/blues rock-infused music along with many original-flavored covers. The band officially released five studio albums and one live recording including the sophomore Hell To Pay (1990), Feel This (1992), Cover To Cover (1995), Get Me Some (2000), and Live At Montreux 1999 (2005). There have also been some recent unofficial compilation releases without the consent of the artists.

The band performed a cameo role in the Patrick Swayze movie "Roadhouse" and they are featured in its official soundtrack.

The group split up in the late 2000, with Healey continuing performing as a solo artist and later as Jeff Healey & The Jazz Wizards playing trumpet. Healey died on March 2, 2008 after a long battle with cancer.
