I Shall Be Released Lyrics

They say that everything can be replaced
Yet every distance is not near
Yet I remember every face
Of every man that put me hereI see my light come shining
From the west unto the east
Any day now any day now
I shall be releasedThey say that every man needs protection
They say that every man must fall
Yet I swear I see my reflection
Some place so high above this wallI see my light come shining
From the west unto the east
Any day now any day now
I shall be releasedStanding next to me in this lonely crowd
I see a man who swears he's not to blame
All day long I hear him crying alone
Saying that he's been framedI see my light come shining
From the west unto the east
Any day now any day now

I shall be released
