I Wish I Was Still In Your Dreams Lyrics

I saw you through a cafe window down on second avenue
The passage of time sure has been good to you
I was tempted for just a moment to run out in the street
But what do you say when two old lovers meetYou say, hello
(Hello)
How are you
Youre doing well it seems
I wish I was better at bein alone
I wish I was still in your dreamsI spent a lot of lonely hours staring at this phone of mine
Knowing your just a heart beat down the line
Once I even dialed your number, but I couldnt let it ring
What do you say to a sweet memoryYou say, hello
(Hello)
How are you
Youre doing well it seems
I wish I was better at bein alone
I wish I was still in your dreamsIn my favorite fantasy
Youre the one whos missing me

It all comes back so easily
When I hear you sayYou say, hello
(Hello)
How are you
Youre doing well it seems
I wish I was better at bein alone
I wish I was still in your dreamsI wish I was better at bein alone
I wish I was still in your dreams

Conway Twitty (1 September 1933 – 5 June 1993), born Harold Lloyd Jenkins, was one of the United States' most successful artists of the 20th century. Twitty had the most singles (55) reach Number 1 on various national music charts. Conway Twitty's across the board totals were greater than that of Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, the Beatles, and Garth Brooks. Most notably known as a country music singer, Twitty also enjoyed success in early Rock and Roll, R&B, and Pop music (among other genres). He teamed up with Loretta Lynn to form one of country music's most successful business partnerships.
