The White Tornado is Bill Peterson, a keyboard player and songwriter from Iowa City, IA. Peterson mixes up-tempo jazz and funk styles with complex, metaphorical lyrics often involving science fiction, astronomy, or geek references and a wry sense of humor to produce music with an infectious groove. A solid rhythm section backs him up and talented horn players or vocalists often round out the band to produce a sound that is a force to be reckoned with.
