Illusions - Corey Isenor

Corey Isenor is a Canadian singer/songwriter from the green pastures of Enfield, Nova Scotia. Following his upbringing there, Corey relocated to the heart of the heart of the Maritimes, Sackville, New Brunswick, where he pursued a Fine Arts degree while discovering his voice as a singer. He now calls Halifax, Nova Scotia home.

Isenor released two albums during his time in Sackville the first being 2008’s Young Squire, which was followed by 2009’s Shotgun Jimmie overseen collection, Frost. Both albums explored the ideas and experiences associated with being young and in love, sometimes unreciprocated, on the east coast. Isenor toured these albums throughout the Maritimes as well as Quebec and Ontario and performed with such notables as The Rural Alberta Advantage, Two Hours Traffic, and Yukon Blonde as well as performing at the fifth edition of the increasingly popular Sappy Music Festival.

During a post-grad year in Sackville, a year that saw Isenor increasingly collaborate with other local musicians, the bulk of his newest album, The Hunting Party, was written. This 9-song collection (10 songs if you look hard enough) was recorded in Port Greville, Nova Scotia with the help of east coast duo Construction & Destruction along with several of the new guard of Sackville musical talent.
