I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter Lyrics

I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter
And make believe it came from you
I'm gonna write words oh so sweet
They're gonna knock me off my feet
A lot of kisses on the bottom, I'll be glad I got 'em
I'm gonna smile and say I hope you're feeling better
And close with love the way you do
I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter
And make believe it came from you
I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter
And make believe it came from you
I'm gonna write words oh so sweet
They're gonna knock me off my feet
A lot of kisses on the bottom
I'll be glad I got 'em
I'm gonna smile and say I hope you're feeling better
And close with love the way you do

I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter
And make believe it came from you nobody but you
And make believe it came from you

Fats Waller (Thomas Wright Waller, May 21, 1904 – December 15, 1943) was an American jazz pianist, organist, composer, singer, and comedic entertainer. His greatest success came with “Fats Waller and His Rhythm”. Thomas Wright Waller was the youngest of four children, born in New York to Adeline Locket Waller and Reverend Edward Martin Waller. He started playing the piano when he was six and graduated to the organ of his father’s church four years later. At the age of fourteen he was playing the organ at Harlem’s Lincoln Theater and within twelve months he had composed his first rag.
