Imperium Lyrics

Hear me nowBearing down upon a path we choose
Chosen from the start living different rules
Existence something that cherish true
Will not succumb to doubts that I hold ontoRelease the fear of my pain
In so much pain give me the will to fight
Every obstacle that I have inside
Release my fearAnd hear me now, words I vow
No fucking regrets
Fuck these chains, no goddamn slave
I will be different
I'll stand here defiantly, my middle finger raised
Fuck your prejudiceAll my life always I've felt alone
Conditioned to believe that I'm always wrong
Only truth will help to set me free
My every weakness I must turn into strengthEvery rage, every tear
Hate in so much hate never that pain will bind me
Ask of myself if I've the will to unwind
Every rage and tearHear me now, words I vow

No fucking regrets
Fuck these chains, no goddamn slave
I will be different
I'll stand here defiantly, my middle finger raised
Fuck your prejudiceCarved upon my stone, I will go on
Patience, belief, love will ascendJust listen to it
Voice so true inside calling
Just take you up and march you on
Keep from fallingLet go your sorrow
Sun will shine, this I promise
Rising tomorrow
RisingHear me now, I'm taking back the control
Of my life from societies hold
I vow, no more will I be a slave
Rise to challenge the whole human race
My spirit you cannot break and we won't lose

Synaulia is a project consisting of Italian paleorganologist Walter Maioli (born in Milan, 1950) with his daughter Luce Maioli and Nathalie van Ravenstein. The name comes from the Greek synaulia, which in ancient Rome referred to a group of instruments consisting mainly of wind instruments. For over 30 years Maioli has been researching and practically testing (via the group Synaulia) the origins of music, sound and musical instruments. He has travelled extensively in southern Europe, northern Africa and and the middle east to study the traditional music of these areas.
