In This Place Lyrics

In this place we lie
Cutting slightly in vain
Hoping and praying you'll remember my name
If only tonight
And only tonight
You'll write back here I swear I'm done
Take your advice cos its easy to see
This so called romance never wanted me
If only tonight
And maybe tongiht
You write back here, I swear I'll
Cut, till crimson falls
Over the bedroom walls
234
Between you and I it's the 2-step I crave
Morbidly swaying to a dying refrain
If only tonight, and maybe tonight

You write back here
(I'm so sincere)
So will you lay me down tonight
And we'll be better off today
And I would die if you never got to know
But would it do more harm this way?

Short Stack was an Australian pop punk band, formed in 2005. The band consisted of members Shaun Diviney, Andy Clemmensen and Bradie Webb. Shannon Hotchkins was also a member of Short Stack before any song was ever performed or recorded. Short Stack have twice been named channel [V]'s Oz Artist of the year, and produced two gold-selling albums, three top ten singles, and ARIA number one chart award and a platinum-selling single. They have also shared the stage with many big name artists such as McFly, Hellogoodbye, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte and The Veronicas, many of which while still completing their HSC. However, in 2012 , the group split, releasing their final song. Their third album remains unreleased.

Shaun Diviney, Andy Clemmensen and Bradie Webb met on the train to the Hunter School of Performing Arts in Newcastle, New South Wales . Eventually, they decided to form a band and named it Short Stack. Originally, Shannon Hotchkins played drums, Webb played guitar, Clemmensen played bass and Diviney was the lead vocalist. However, after Hotchkins left, Diviney heard Webb playing on the drums and realised that he had the talent. So, Diviney became the lead vocalist and guitarist, Clemmensen stayed on bass, and Webb became the drummer
