Ado Mizumori (水森亜土, Mizumori Ado, born in Tokyo, Tokyo prefecture, Japan) is a Japanese illustrator, actress, jazz singer, and writer. Known commonly as Ado-chan, she has been a popular comedian for years, but many recall her more as a creator of nostalgic illustrations of girls, boys, dogs, cats and other motifs, which were much loved in the 1970s, and are still a big inspiration to the kawaii movement in Japan. Her mother was a painter of modern art, and Ado would often draw as a child when her mother's artist friends came to visit.
