thelightshines are 10 hands bringing you 60s garage, sunshine pop, experimental indie, folk and indian classical music, thelightshines specialise in heavy walls of sound, lush harmonies and dancing melodies. Formed from the ashes of a solo project of the same name, the band have been breaking people's ears since 2011. Influences include The Byrds, Ride, Neu, John Lee Hooker, The Doors, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Donovan, The La's, Bibio, Asteroid #4, Spacemen 3, The Stone Roses, My Bloody Valentine, Love, Kaleidoscope, Spiritualized, Toumani Diabete, Verve, Mississipi John Hurt.
