Jah Reign Lyrics

Jah reigns over man
Like the air over man
Jah reigns over man
Just like the air over man
Jah reigns over manJohnny looked at his father and said
I'll be coming home soon
Johnny was a good good man
And though he lived in Babylon
Johnny tried he tried
Johnny was a working man
So I said
Some time ago
For reasons no one knows
Johnny trade his soul for gold
Now he's afraid
Of the voice in his head
Trying to hold on to who he used to be
Let righteousness be set freeHe say woy woy woy like the rain over land

Jah reign over man
He say woy woy woy like the rain over land
So Jah reigns over manTime and time again
Sandra was told to settle down
She worked her fingers to the bones
But with five mouths to feed
So lost in the things that she needs
Fighting so hard to survive
Oh woman she cried
...
Oh father please help to fill me
'cause I'm thirsty
Let righteousness be set freeShe cried woy woy woy like the rain over land
Jah reign over man
She say woy woy woy like the rain over land
So Jah reigns over manI and I never trod alone
Rasta see I as his own
Our people always a fight down evil
Day to day we live
Some have nothing ...

Duane Stephenson started out with his High School pals in a group called To-Isis who emerged from the performing ensemble Cathy Levy Players. To-Isis (to everything beautiful) was formed within the Cathy Levy Players in 1996. The members of the former 7-member group, (now 5) were all major players in this company. The group embarked on their recording career with the release of their debut single Ghetto Pain, in 2003 and its accompanying music video. This song was written by Duane Stephenson, produced by Dean Fraser and arranged by Ewan Simpson and Dean Fraser.
