Misty Morning Lyrics

Take me high above the mountains
Let me fly on wings of love
Longing to taste the dew, of a misty morning
Longing to see all that I knew
Don’t know what you’d think of me
Cause my mind is always free
So why are you taking this from me?
{Chorus}
Cause you alone want to live
You want to climb the highest mountain
Wanna to swim the deepest sea
You alone want to live
You alone want to live
Overbearing, is the least I can say
When you turned and walked away
And I all I try to do is, just to make a better way

So my son don’t have to stray
But you lock away my dreams
And all hope is gone it seems
Why are you taking this from me?
Chorus
From the dept I rose higher than before
Always struggling to make it on my own
Oh from the ashes I rise
Not compromising, my pride….
Take me high above the mountain
Let me fly on wings of love
Longing to taste the dew of a misty morning
Longing to see all that I knew
And you lock away my dreams
And all hope is gone it seems
Why are you taking this from me?
Chorus
Repeat till fade

Duane Stephenson started out with his High School pals in a group called To-Isis who emerged from the performing ensemble Cathy Levy Players. To-Isis (to everything beautiful) was formed within the Cathy Levy Players in 1996. The members of the former 7-member group, (now 5) were all major players in this company. The group embarked on their recording career with the release of their debut single Ghetto Pain, in 2003 and its accompanying music video. This song was written by Duane Stephenson, produced by Dean Fraser and arranged by Ewan Simpson and Dean Fraser.
