Jesus Met the Woman Lyrics

Jesus met the woman at the well
Jesus met the woman at the well
Jesus met the woman at the well
And He told her everything she'd ever doneHe said, "Woman, woman, where is your husband?"
He said, "Woman, woman, where is your husband?"
He said, "Woman, woman, where is your husband?
I know everything you've ever done"She said, "Jesus, Jesus, I ain't got no husband"
She said, "Jesus, Jesus, I ain't got no husband"
She said, "Jesus, Jesus, ain't got no husband
And You don't know everything I've ever done"He said, "Woman, woman, you've got five husbands"
He said, "Woman, woman, you've got five husbands"
He said, "Woman, woman, you've got five husbands
And the one you have now, he's not your own"She said, "This man, this man, He must be a prophet"
She said, "This man, this man, He must be a prophet
This man, this man, must be a prophet
He done told me everything I've ever done"Jesus, He met the woman at the well
Jesus, He met the woman at the well
Oh, Jesus met the woman at the well

And He told her everything she'd ever done

The trio Peter, Paul and Mary (often PP&M) is an American musical group that was one of the most successful folk-singing groups of the 1960s. The trio comprises Peter Yarrow, Noel Paul Stookey, and Mary Travers. The group was created by manager Albert Grossman, who sought to create a folk "supergroup" by bringing together "a tall blonde (Travers), a funny guy (Stookey), and a good looking guy (Yarrow)." He launched the group in 1961, booking them into the Bitter End, a coffee house in New York City's Greenwich Village that was a favorite place to hear folk artists.
